IKEA Greenwich & MumsAid Work Together To Host Events For Local Mums

IKEA Greenwich and MumsAid, a local Royal Borough of Greenwich charity, are pleased to welcome mums to a series of events for both mums and their little ones. The global home furnishing company, renowned for its affordability and practical designs, regularly puts on events as part of its commitment to support the local communities in which it’s present.

The Greenwich events, which have been organised and hosted in collaboration with MumsAid, are designed to offer mums a moment of respite in a busy day. There are 2 events running – a Kids Club, where kids will take part in crafts, stories and games and a Coffee and Connect event, allowing mums the opportunity to meet others in their local area. The craft sessions have been organised and will be run by Tanaz Assefi, a talented local artist, who also runs regular art courses for MumsAid.

MumsAid, which has operated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich since 2012, supporting mums and pregnant women with their mental health, is delighted to work with IKEA on these events. Volunteer Co-ordinator, Stacey Lewis, said of the partnership,  “As a charity, we are deeply involved with our community on a very local level, and we are delighted that large companies like IKEA are looking to small local charities for collaboration. We hope that the mums and families who attend these events feel cared for and included, and the children have fun!”
