Clinical supervision and training

If untreated, maternal mental health issues including depression, intrusive thoughts, anxiety and PTSD from birth trauma can have devastating consequences for mothers and their families. Early identification and support for mums with mental health issues is critical to improve their wellbeing and minimise any potential negative impact on their baby’s development.

Supporting frontline staff

MumsAid supports frontline staff who work with new mothers such as health visitors, community midwives, GPs and children centres’ teams. Through our training, supervision and consultancy we share our expertise in identifying and supporting mothers experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties. Our proven therapeutic approach has been recognised as an example of best practice by Public Health England.

We also provide clinical supervision and training to professional therapists.

“I found the course extremely interesting, well done. Very comprehensive discussion around postnatal depression and its implications for all involved."
