Meet three of our amazing mums in these videos.
“Eighteen-year-old Beth was referred by her baby’s social worker because she was struggling to cope, her confidence was low and she felt she was not good enough for her baby. Beth was living in temporary accommodation having been ‘kicked out’ of home when she got pregnant and her friends had drifted away, leaving her feeling rejected, lonely and isolated.”
“Beth recognised her tendency to withdraw and not let anyone know when she was feeling low. Through counselling she realised that this was a way of protecting herself. Starting to open up to someone she trusted challenged this assumption and showed her that sharing her worries really helped. She began to feel more positive about reconnecting with people.”
“Over time Beth reported an improvement in her mood and anxiety levels. Her confidence as a mum grew and she found she was enjoying her baby much more.”
