Highlighting Growth, Inclusivity, and Transformative Support for Mothers:
We are excited to share our 2023-2024 Impact Report, showcasing the strides we have made in supporting mothers facing perinatal mental health challenges. This year has marked significant growth, resilience, and innovation in our services, empowering hundreds of mothers and creating lasting positive change for families.
Expanding Our Reach and Impact: In 2023-24, MumsAid supported over 430 mothers, up from 310 last year—a 39% increase reflecting the growing demand for our services. Through specialised services like YoungMumsAid, Akwaaba, and Mighty Acorns, we’ve provided culturally sensitive and targeted support, especially to underserved communities. Notably, we supported 119 young mothers and offered crucial assistance to mothers of babies with complex medical needs.
Outstanding Outcomes for Mothers and Families: Our programmes have made a profound impact on the well-being of mothers:
Programmes that Make a Difference: This year, we launched Akwaaba, a service tailored for Black and global majority mothers, and expanded our existing services. We were also recognised by the Maternal Mental Health Alliance as a best practice example for supporting young mothers. This recognition highlights the importance of our inclusive and accessible approach, ensuring mothers receive compassionate and effective support.
Looking Ahead: Our work is made possible by the dedication of our team, trustees, and the generous support of our partners and funders. With the continued rise in service demand, we are more committed than ever to expanding our programmes and reach, ensuring no mother faces these challenges alone.
